Our Story

Twenty-three years ago Phoenix Inner City Church began under the vision of one man. It was through his leadership and dedication that Phoenix Inner City Church rose from a small inner city work on the campus of the Inner City Teen Challenge in Phoenix Arizona to what it is today, Phoenix World Outreach. Through innovative outreach efforts such as the Good Samaritan Homeless Feeding, Living Water, and Flintstones Kids Outreach (now PICK) Phoenix Inner City Church won the hearts of hundreds of people across the nation. It was those people who felt the tug of God on the heart to plant seed in the work in Phoenix in order for PICC to be born.

Nearly eight years ago Phoenix Inner City Church located to the present building located at 1601 W. Grand Avenue, just two blocks north of its humble beginnings. This new building has broadened the path for more ministries to be born and planted in the inner city of Phoenix Arizona. New ministries have resulted and are doing more with what began as a single vision.

Pastor Maurice Chavez is the Senior Pastor of what is becoming a fast growing ministry. His desire is to impact and influence the lives of all who walk through the doors of Phoenix World Outreach, that they can overcome whatever obstacles or trials that they face through the resources and ministries provided there.
